Stories around the Fire features Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, musicians and community members talking about the historical significance of the meeting place at Atherton Gardens Housing Estate and Fitzroy more generally. The event was presented as part of the Gertrude Street Projection Festival 2011, with support from Yarra City Council, MAYSAR, Office of Housing (State Government of Victoria), The Gertrude Association and the Parkies community.
