The Atherton Gardens $43 million dollar redevelopment was officially launched on the 20th of October 2010, after many years of planning. The development is due for completion by September 2012, and will include 152 new homes at Atherton gardens, a new childcare centre, office and retail space and 127 car spaces.
It has come to fruition by strong support from the state government, the Brotherhood of St Laurence, The City of Yarra, United Care (Broadmeadows) and the Atherton Gardens residents association (AGRA) amongst other local organisations.

Price on carbon good news for Carbonxchange

Infoxchange’s Carbonxchange enterprise in East Timor is very welcoming of the comments by Prime Minister Gillard to look at the idea of a price on carbon.

This would bring Australia in line with other progressive countries including New Zealand, Germany and a number of other European countries who have recognised the need to address climate change through placing a price on carbon.

Yarra Gets Extra Day to Recycle

Yarra residents will soon be able to recycle a wide range of goods, including e-waste, on one Saturday per month, with Council extending the opening hours at its recycling drop off point.

Council’s Clifton Hill recycling centre will open between 8am and Midday on the first Saturday of each month to accept recyclable waste, starting September 4.

1) Who will pay for the new meters (Landlord or tenant) ?
2) How much will the new meters cost ?
