Expressions of Interest are sought for artists to be part of contemporary Cultural Intersections Residency Series in August.
Cultural Intersections is a new partnership of Ausdance Victoria, Multicultural Arts Victoria and the City of Yarra.
Who is this opportunity for?
Contemporary culturally diverse artists with an idea to explore, where cultures intersect and dance or movement is one of the art forms involved.
What is provided?
Free rehearsal space for 1 week at Fitzroy Town Hall* (Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm) and showing venue.
Block 1 weeks beginning: 24 August, 31 August with showing 4 September; Block 2 weeks beginning 19 October and 26 October with showing 31 October. $1,500 seed funding plus marketing support.
What kind of work is suitable?
Experimentation with new processes for making artistic work; and creative development of new intercultural performance projects.
Applications from both emerging and established artists are welcome.
Cultural Intersections residencies are for new work only.

Send a proposal of maximum 2 pages including:
Synopsis or concept
Background of the artist/s involved
Artistic aims of project
Contact details for one key liaison person
Expressions of Interest close on Friday 12 June 2009
Proposals will be assessed by staff of Ausdance Victoria, MAV and City of Yarra, and
outcomes advised by 26 June.
