Green Gym is designed to help you stay fit while doing a range of enjoyable and practical conservation activities. It’s an alternative to traditional competitive sport and fitness options.
At Merri Creek, Green Gym members will help maintain approximately a one kilometre section of the shared pedestrian path along the creek. This will include selective hand weeding of important native plant areas, removing branches along the track for the safety of pedestrians, and general cleanups along the creek.
This work will dramatically assist the native plants to thrive and provide a spectacular place for the public to visit and enjoy the wonderful flora and fauna of this special place in Melbourne’s suburbia.
Every Thursday and Friday, 9am to 1pm.
