Free - Basic Internet use, training workshops

Next week Thursday (16th of June) and on the Thursday the week after that (23th of June) Infoxchange is offering a free 2 Hour Basic internet  training workshop.
 

This workshop is for people who have had little experience with the internet but want to learn.  These workshops will go through the all the basics of how to find and view websites, and how to use some commonly used websites such as centerlink.
 

The workshops start at the very basics so no matter how little experience you have had with the internet don’t be afraid to come down.
 

They will run from 12:00 PM and run to 2:00 PM. and will be held at the Infoxchange computer hub at  90 Brunswick street.
 

Thursday (16th) 12:00-2:00: How to use the internet –
Tuesday (23rd) 12:00-2:00: How to access basic government services on the internet -
 
There will be many more workshops to come in the coming months so keep checking the events and training section of this website for when the next one is, or just come down to the computer hubs and ask in person.

Koorie Stories and Songs

elebrate Reconciliation week at the Fitzroy Library (128 Moor Street) with a night of Koorie stories and songs.

Aboriginal singer-songwriters will perform amongst the books in this free event that will celebrate music, story and the spirit of reconciliation.

Showcasing future voices to watch in the arena of political writing and commentary, our five panellists have diverse interests and experience, and are ready to engage in public debate on the issues of the day.

This free event will take place on Tuesday 29 May from 7.30pm – 8.30pm.
