Our programs are staffed by Social Workers, Qualified Child Care Workers and Bilingual Workers. Parent work. Counselling and professional support offers parents the opportunity to work on family difficulties that may be affecting their child in some way. This involves identifying and developing the strengths of parents and families. Parent groups These groups encourage parents to talk about the challenges of being a parent, support each other and get to know each other. Groups for children and parents. Playgroup Parents and children play together in enjoyable activities that focus on the child's development. Information is available about child development and there are opportunities to explore parent-child relationships. Exploring together This is a program for families with children aged 3 - 6. It enables all the people who are important in the child's life to work together when there are difficulties relating to family or peers. Child development program. Three highly experienced and qualified child development workers care for a group of 12 children aged 18 months to school age. The program is planned around each child's needs. Children are accepted into this program after the family and child's needs have been assessed and a program agreement drawn up. Small group or individual work Small groups of children work together with a staff member to focus on specific areas of development such as social or language skills.
